Yoga + Hiking // October 10-13 2024 | Stowe, Vermont >>

with Meg Abene Newlin

Join longtime practitioner and yoga teacher Meg for a long fall weekend of yoga and hiking in the mountains of Northern Vermont. This retreat is the perfect opportunity to grab a friend or loved one for a relaxing yet active weekend of great yoga and some epically gorgeous fall hiking. Autumn in Vermont is truly one of the most magical experiences and Sterling Forest Lodge is the perfect place from which to experience it. There are 6 rooms available that each sleep 2 people. Beds can be arranged as twins or kings and I am booking the rooms as a whole versus the beds individually, as I have in the past.

I will send a detailed schedule to participants as we get closer to the event. Plan on arriving on Thursday October 10th any time after 4pm, but hopefully before dinner! (please let us know if you need to arrive later).

Departure will be Sunday by noon.

Included in your retreat:

  • Luxury 3 nights at a Sterling Forest Lodge in the Mountains of Stowe

  • 3 meals a day, including dinner the evening you arrive and breakfast on the final morning

  • optional morning mediation

  • 2 hour optional morning yoga practice

  • optional afternoon hike in all of the fall colors, with choice of difficulty suited to ability/interest

  • Hot tub, sauna and cold plunge session at the Lodge

  • Community and Connection

Not included: airfare and transportation to/from airport.

About the location:

Sterling Forest Lodge is tucked away in the mountains above Stowe, Vermont on the ancestral lands of the Abenaki people. The lodge is nestled on 30 acres that offer miles of walking, hiking, biking, and skiing trails with close access to thousands of acres of pristine wild nature right behind the lodge.

The newly renovated Lodge is designed to inspire. The interior spaces are carefully crafted using local natural materials and decor drawn from the surrounding environment to bring the outside in.

Each room at the Lodge tells a different story. Stories of Vermont. Stories of nature. Stories of time. They are all designed with comfort and sustainability at the core as the owners have partnered with progressive, sustainable brands that put human health at the core of their product experiences.

What folks are saying about study and retreat with Meg:

“Meg is sincere, honest and transparent. She has the ability to connect with individuals on many levels and not afraid to have real conversations. So lovely to be in her company.”

“It was fun seeing folks new to Meg engage with her style, since I've been practicing with her in various forms (public classes, group practices, in-person, zoom-y) for so long. I particularly appreciate the balance of casual and formal, in the sense that Meg holds a space, cultivates a container, but isn't super precious with it. There was patience, guidance, honesty, and openness/trust for each of us to take care of ourselves within the spaces.”

“Fucking incredible. Serious, safe, stern, soft. Like a well-seasoned tour guide, Meg knows what to say at which stop, knows how long to stay when & where, and can tell when the group is ready to move on or hungry for more. Meg is probably the most real person I have ever met. She is zealous in intention, purpose, and effort.”

“Meg is such a high-level teacher with an incredible amount of training and understanding of the asana practice. Her cueing and instruction are intelligent and well-articulated. Her ability to help others experience their bodies in new and challenging ways inspires and elicits growth in her students. She is steady and earnest and is a teacher you want to build a relationship with. Meg is also insightful, kind, and will inevitably make you laugh!”
